We know that there may be lot of questions when it comes to looking a new school.  At North Catholic, we are here to help navigate your admissions process.  We've gathered a few frequently asked questions to for our prospective families.  If you have any other questions, please contact us.

Choosing a high school can be a big decision.  At North Catholic, we offer a variety of events throughout the year to provide families with opportunities to see why NC is a great place to be.
Our shadows days and school tours are also available throughout the year on a rolling basis.  In addition, here are important events that take place throughout the year that are important for current 8th grade families to remember:
 
  • 8th Grade Scarlet and Gold Day (in the fall)
  • Fall Open House
  • High School Placement Test (required for all incoming freshmen)
  • Spring Open House
No, students do not need to be Catholic to attend NCHS.  While our school is rooted in Catholic tradition, we welcome all backgrounds to apply to our school. 
Bussing is included in the cost of our tuition.  Transportation is provided by the districts listed below.
We also provide transportation beyond a 10-mile radius.  There are designated pick-up and drop-off point for these students.  Please contact our transportation coordinator, Ryan Parrish with any questions.

We kindly ask that our shadows wear conservative style clothing.  No jeans, leggings, shorts, or jeans, please.  If your child is currently enrolled in Catholic school, he/she is welcome to wear his/her school uniform.
Our average class size is 18 students.  
Our average honors class size is 19 students.
Our average AP/CHS class size is 13 students.
Yes, students can take the placement test at another location and have the results sent to us.  However, in order to be considered for a merit-based scholarship opportunity, students must take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) at North Catholic.  
We are committed to keeping North Catholic affordable and attainable for all.  Through our efforts, we continually seek resources to be able to provide financial assistance to our families.  Those interested in receiving financial aid must complete our FACTS application.
North Catholic High School welcomes transfer students.  Transfer students must be complete our online application and provide transcripts in order to be considered for acceptance.  Please note, transfer students must meet with our Assistant Principal for Student Affairs and our Director of Admissions once the application is complete. Applicants are evaluated on a case by case basis.
At a minimum, you should be receiving a weekly school newsletter.  This is sent out to all current enrolled families.  The newsletter goes out each Monday morning.  In order to ensure you receive the communications, please be sure your contact information is up to date in the Parent Portal.
