Will there be a Silent Auction and how does it work?
Yes, approximately 100 items will be up for bidding at our Silent Auction. Items will be available for viewing on our auction website. Anyone wishing to bid MUST register online. Participants can bid via computer, touchscreen tablet, or smartphone. Each bid legally obligates the bidder to pay that price in full if his/her bid is deemed the highest bid when the auction is closed.
Will there be music or entertainment?
Yes! There will be a DJ as well as an exciting live speed painting show by artist George Williams of Art Madness. His paintings will then be available to bid on through the Silent Auction.
Do I need to be present to win Silent Auction items or Cash Raffle prizes?
No. Winners do not need to be present to win silent auction items or cash raffle prizes. All winners will be notified by Saturday, May 3, 2025. If the winner of a large silent auction item (that cannot be easily mailed) is not present, winner must make arrangements to pick up prize. Special incentive prizes will be awarded to folks in attendance.
When did the Trojan Triumph Gala start?
The Trojan Triumph started in the fall of 1986. It was the idea of Joe (NC ’59) and Frances Kane who gathered a group of volunteers, teachers, staff and parents to help plan the evening. The first Gala brought in more than $80,000, and a tradition started. We are proud to say that since the start, it has brought in just over $2M over the 37 years, largely funding financial aid. More than 60% of our students receive financial aid. Tuition alone does not cover the full expense of educating a student these days. Fundraisers, such as the Gala, enable us to provide essential financial aid to our students and their families, while ensuring the continued operation and success of our school.
We are incredibly grateful to the long list of volunteers and parents who have continued to keep this tradition going for almost 40 years!
